In July 1999, the families of NCOCE, organized a month-long program of Conductive Education for their children. Through participation in the program, the families became convinced that Conductive Education fills a gap between what is available for motor disabled children and what is needed to help the child reach his or her potential. Their continued participation in such a program will provide lifelong benefits to these children.
Conductive Education was developed in Hungary by Andros Peto in 1945 and has been widely established in England, Belgium, Australia, Israel, Holland, Hong Kong, Japan, Germany and Canada. It is slowly becoming available in the United States with approximately 50 independently running programs throughout the country. In addition, Aquinas College, in Grand Rapids, Michigan has established an undergraduate and graduate level program for educating conductors.
We currently hold our sessions at 5510 Pearl Road Suite LL94 in Parma, OH. If you would like more information about North Coast Ohio Conductive Education, please contact us today.
